Meet Our Team
Parents, we encourage you to stay in constant communication with your child's teacher. Successful education does not stop at the end of the school day. Parents need to reinforce what their children learn in the classroom and create an environment in the home that facilitates learning. If you have any questions regarding your child's education, please contact his/her teacher to discuss the situation.
About Cristine Barsema
My teaching career began in 1997. I have taught at Fountain Hills High School ever since, except from 2005-2008. I love to teach math to students at all levels. I want to give students the knowledge of math and show them that they can achieve at it. I have been married for nineteen years to my husband, Matt. We have two children, Hannah and Hudson. My own children come to the FHUSD schools, because this is an awesome district. I have my bachelor’s degree in mathematics and secondary education, and my master’s degree in teaching.
About Will Sleeth
My teaching career began in 1994, in Washington State, where I was born and raised. I graduated from Washington State University as a math major in 1993. Since then, I have taught all levels of secondary math in both private and public schools. Right before moving to Arizona in 2013, to teach at Fountain Hills, my wife and I adopted a brother and sister from the foster care system that had lived with us for a year and a half. We love that we can make a new life and new memories for our family here in Arizona. My approach to teaching is to make my students better thinkers and problem solvers using math. Math may be used in many things, but thinking and reasoning are used in much more. Every student who comes into my room will know I care and will work with them no matter their math level.
