Many scholarships are available to all students. The trick is knowing how to find them. Tall Clubs International and Central Arizona Tall Society
Tall Clubs International and Central Arizona Tall Society are offering scholarships to a graduating senior who is at least the minimum height (females – 5’10”; males – 6’2”). Please visit www.tallphoenix.org and click on scholarship to download all instructions and application forms.
The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation
These scholarships are $1,000.00 each and available to students who will be attending an Arizona institution of post-secondary education. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a graduating high school/charter school senior, a high school graduate within the last year, or a former recipient of an AZHCC scholarship from the previous year and reapplying for renewal. Reapplications do not guarantee an automatic scholarship renewal.
- One parent must be of Hispanic heritage.
- Possess a minimum cumulative uniformed GPA of 2.0.
The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Committee makes all decisions regarding scholarship awards. Applicants are evaluated on quantitative and subjective criteria, including academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, student essays, and financial need. Scholarships are contingent upon high school graduation, acceptance to an Arizona institution of post-secondary education, and awarded at the discretion of the Committee. NOTE: the committee will not accept incomplete application packages. Application forms are available in the counseling office.

This federal government site contains the FAFSA worksheet and application form. This is a mandatory document parents must complete and file with the federal government in order for their student to obtain grants, student aid, and most scholarships.
American College Testing Service (ACT) www.act.org
This site has a wealth of information regarding career searches, financial aid, estimating family contribution toward college, applying to colleges, and much more.
Western Undergraduate Exchange Program http://wiche.edu
Through WUE, students in western states may enroll in many two-year and four-year college programs at a reduced tuition level. WUE tuition is considerably less than nonresident tuition.
Harrington Scholarship http://www.azfoundation.org/scholarships/
This scholarship is $5,000 per year for students attending a university and $2,500 per year for students at a community college. This scholarship focuses on students with a very high ability and high financial need.
Pride Scholarship http://www.azfoundation.org/scholarships/
This scholarship is $1,000 for post-secondary studies for a Maricopa County student who has been involved in activities supporting the LGBT community.
Helen Jean Simpson Scholarship for Refugees http://www.azfoundation.org/scholarships/
This scholarship is $6,000 for a student who entered the U.S.A. in refugee status and has demonstrated high potential for success in university studies.
